Katie Boylan is the executive vice president and chief corporate affairs officer for Target. In her role, Katie leads the company’s enterprise corporate affairs strategy focused on building and protecting Target’s reputation with a wide range of stakeholders. Katie also leads the teams responsible for Target’s internal and external communications, sustainability initiatives and risk and reputation capabilities. Katie joined Target in January 2011, and has held various communications leadership positions with the company, most recently as executive vice president and chief communications officer.
Prior to joining Target, Katie was a senior vice president at Edelman, a global communications marketing firm. Earlier in her career, she held roles at Weber Shandwick and Burson Marsteller where she developed communications programming for leading companies such as Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Burger King, Land-O-Lakes and Hormel.
In addition to her Target responsibilities, Katie serves on the board for Second Harvest Heartland, one of the nation’s largest hunger relief organizations. She earned a B.A. from the College of St. Benedict and previously served on its board of trustees.
